What is hamartoma???

Hamartano means i miss or fault or misfire. From here has been derived the word hamartoma which infact is a faulty growth. Hamartoma is a benign mass of mature specialized tissue or tissue indigenous to that particular site arranged in a disorganized manner due to aberrant differentiation. ExAmples are haemangioma, lymphangioma, AVM and neural malformation.
